Corporate Impact: Purpose Beyond Profit
On October 18, Entrepreneurs for North Texas (EFNT) and DFW Corporate Citizenship Network (DCCN) co-hosted Corporate Impact: Purpose Beyond Profit, a Good Corporate Citizenship Conference at Communities Foundation of Texas. This educational networking event drew more than 130 participants from EFNT and DCCN Member Companies, and more than 25 guest panelists offered perspectives on topics such as Holistic CSR, Collective Impact, Employee Volunteering, Social Entrepreneurship and Measuring Impact. Crayton Webb, Director of Corporate Communications for Mary Kay and Chris Jarvis, Founder of Realized Worth provided the inspiring keynote addresses.
As a unique twist on the day, conference attendees had the opportunity to participate in a “Do Good” Service Project sponsored by Mary Kay and American Airlines, where they collectively assembled 440+ hygiene bags with products for women in need at Genesis Women’s Shelter, SafeHaven of Tarrant County, and Battered Women’s Foundation which allowed participants to learn from and interact with some of the region’s leading experts on Social Responsibility, as well as collectively give back to the community.
Thanks to the thoughtful speakers and enthusiastic attendees, as well as in-kind donors Agencies of Change, Impact Foods, American Airlines, Mary Kay, Texas Health Resources, On the Border, Hyatt Regency North Dallas/Richardson, the conference was a huge success. And with the generous sponsorships from x2VOL powered by intelliVOL, jcpenney, Kimbia, Mary Kay, University of Texas at Dallas, Loomis and Texas Health Resources, as well as to EFNT Cornerstone Sponsors Hunt Consolidated, Inc. and Mutual Capital Alliance, all costs of the conference were covered and EFNT will be able to continue its' year-round effort to make it easy for its' Member Companies to do good!
