Trailblazer Capital is a uniquely entrepreneurial venture fund. Unlike other venture firms, Trailblazer is managed by entrepreneurs for entrepreneurs.

Trailblazer Capital was founded in 2006 by David Matthews. The fund’s investment focus is on early stage companies in the Southwest region that possess potentially disruptive business models. Trailblazer has recruited several of Dallas’ most successful entrepreneurs to actively participate in its Entrepreneur’s Circle, a group that meets monthly to discuss and review new investment opportunities. The Entrepreneur’s Circle is an important source of deal flow as well as a key component of the investment process and a major strategic resource of skills and experience for portfolio companies.
