EFNT’S SPIRIT OF ENTREPRENEURSHIP EVENT RECOGNIZES OUTSTANDING LEADERSHIP
Craig Hall Inducted into the EFNT’s Ring of Entrepreneurs by Roger Staubach
Dallas, TX (June 12, 2007)—The Entrepreneurs Foundation of North Texas (EFNT) announced that Craig Hall will be inducted into the EFNT’s “Ring of Entrepreneurs” at their annual Spirit of Entrepreneurship event on Thursday, June 21, 2007. Roger Staubach, a past honoree, will induct Mr. Hall. More than 300 local entrepreneurs, elected officials and philanthropists from North Texas are expected to attend the celebration which will be held at Communities Foundation of Texas, located at the southwest corner of US Highway 75 and Caruth Haven. The program begins at 7:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
“EFNT strives to recognize all business entrepreneurs who are giving back to their community,” said Cindi Keith, partner at PriceWaterhouseCoopers and the new chairman of EFNT. “Craig Hall epitomizes an entrepreneur who leverages his success to benefit his community, especially in educating low-income youth about entrepreneurship.”
Craig Hall was at an entrepreneur at the early age of 10. He started Hall Financial Group (HFG) at the age of 18 with $4000. Today, HFG has successfully grown and maintains a portfolio of more than $1 billion dollars. Mr. Hall’s charitable foundation has contributed millions of dollars to fund a wide range of nonprofits locally, nationally and internationally. He encourages his employees to also be passionate about giving.
Recently, Mr. Hall has been involved with the National Foundation for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE), a national organization that teaches entrepreneurship to young people from low-income communities. Through his help and financial support, NFTE has opened a chapter in Dallas, Texas. The program has taught more than 900 students in DISD and Irving ISD secondary schools.
In honor of Craig Hall’s induction, NFTE established the Entrepreneurs of Tomorrow Education Fund. Through the help of EFNT’s network of business leaders and NFTE’s supporters, more than $75,000 has been raised to date.
“EFNT is a terrific partner,” said Lanet Greenhaw, executive director of NFTE Greater Dallas. “Their support of our organization will help pay for more teachers, student supplies and ultimately educating more students about the importance of becoming an entrepreneur.”
The Spirit of Entrepreneurship is an annual event hosted by EFNT and sponsored by local companies.
This year’s sponsors include PricewaterhouseCoopers, Winstead, VCFO, Andrews Kurth and G&A
