Freedom Day 2011

Honoring Lives Changed on 9/11/01 by Changing Lives Today

Three thousand.  That is the approximate number of people that lost their lives due to the tragic events that occurred on September 11, 2001.

Ten. That's the number of years the Entrepreneurs For North Texas has hosted Freedom Day, a network-wide community service event, to honor these thousands of lives lost and changed on that horrific day.

400+ That's how many volunteers from EFNT's Member Companies "do good" in North Texas on Freedom Day.

Every September 11th, EFNT hosts its annual event, Freedom Day, a day of community service that unites more than 400 volunteers from EFNT Member Companies as a way to honor those whose lives were forever changed by the horrific events of September 11, 2001. Over the past ten years, EFNT has engaged thousands of volunteers who have provided thousands of hours of service to Dallas-area charities.  Each year, dozens of companies have met the urgent needs of such nonprofits as the Wilkinson Center, Camp Summit, the Science Place, Interfaith Housing Coalition, Central Dallas Ministries, Catholic Charities and Dallas Fire-Rescue.

This year EFNT was proud to have partnered with five entities that provide valuable services to our community - Dallas Area Habitat for Humanity, the Innercity Community Development Corporation, Texas Trees Foundation, the African American Museum and the City of Dallas Code Compliance.
