1. How do I register to participate and can this be done in advance?
You may register on line by Friday, August 28th, by logging on to www.efnt.org/freedomday or see your Team Captain for registration information. You will also need to sign a waiver form which is available on the registration site or from your Team Captain.
2. Have you selected the service projects for the day yet?
This year we are excited to be in partnership with the Dallas Fire-Rescue Department. We will be deploying volunteers at their Training & Maintenance Facility at 5000 Dolphin Road in South Dallas. Your Team Captains will have details about the different locations on the campus.
3. Do I need to do anything in advance to prepare for the service projects?
No, but depending on your service assignment, your Team Captain or Service Project Coordinator may need to make an advance site visit to keep you informed of the details of your service project.
4. What is the schedule for the day?

Parking is free and plentiful. (CARPOOLING IS ENCOURAGED)
6. Will I be required to bring tools, paint ladders, etc. or will these things be provided?
We will provide the supplies, but it would be great if you could bring work gloves, a shovel and/or a rake! Your Team Captain will let you know if we need you to bring anything else.
7. Can I bring my kids and/or other family members? Is there a minimum age requirement?
Freedom Day is designed for EFNT member companies and their employees. Family members are welcome, but they will need to be at least 18 years old.
8. What happens if I finish my service early?
Other service projects will still be going on so feel free to see if others need your help. You can also check in with your Team Captain and they can help you locate another service activity. Either way, stick around for the closing ceremony. You won’t want to miss it! -- They’ll be lots of awards and great service stories to share!
9. What happens if I finish my service late or I can’t get it done?
We’ll give it our best shot to finish it all, but if not, our service partners are very appreciative of any work that is done on that day. We will also have a follow up service day planned on Saturday, Sepptember 12th, and will let your Team Captain know if we need volunteers from your company to help.
10. Does this event have anything to do with the Freedom Day run?
In spirit, yes – in activity, no. Our event is for EFNT network members only.
11. Will meals be provided and if yes, what type of meals?
Yes. Pastries and coffee will be served at the Opening Ceremony and delicious box lunches with drinks will be provided. Additionally, food will be served at the Awards Ceremony!
12. What happens if it rains?
We might get wet!! But most service projects will be indoors, so we should be able to stay nice and dry!
13. What if I have additional questions?
See your Team Captain or email us at freedomday@efnt.org. It’s that simple!
14. How can I get more involved with EFNT after Freedom Day?
Thanks for asking! You can refer more companies to join our network of good corporate citizens and you can encourage companies and individuals to make cash contributions to support our program.
