Since joining the organization in 1991, Mr. Segrest has served in various capacities at Silver Creek Ventures and its predecessor funds. As a general partner for the Firm, Mr. Segrest has focused his investment activities on information technologies, particularly in the areas of security, networking, and services.  Current board seats for Mr. Segrest include Aktino, Hammerhead Systems, and NetSocket. 

Mr. Segrest is currently a partner of Silver Creek Ventures I and a general partner of Silver Creek Ventures II.  Prior to Silver Creek Ventures, Mr. Segrest was an associate of O’Donnell & Masur, L.P. and Sherry Lane Partners, L.P., the Firm's predecessor private equity funds.  Prior to joining the Firm in 1991, Mr. Segrest was an investment banker for a merchant banking firm specializing in the communications industries. 

Mr. Segrest received his undergraduate degree from The University of Texas at Austin in 1987 in the ERB program (Electrical Engineering option) and his MBA in Finance from The University of Texas at Austin in 1989.  Mr. Segrest will be a general partner for Silver Creek Ventures III
